"Wolfgang Puck's soups pull out all the stops when it comes to quality. The first-class ingredients give each variety of soup a distinctive taste and look. For example, I could taste the sweet basil in the Country Tomato with Basil, and this chunky tomato soup looks as good as the beautiful photograph on the label! I was pleasantly surprised that the Hearty Lentil and Vegetables has a thick broth with plenty of texture, a sophisticated taste from the Chablis wine, and a zing from the cayenne. I could tell that there isn't any skimping with the clams in the New England Clam Chowder, and it has a wonderfully smoky flavor from the bacon.

The vegetables in the soups are large pieces of vegetables that are cut just like I would cut my own - diced, sliced, or chopped. But the shape is just the start. I was really impressed with the variety of vegetables in the line of soups: turnips, cabbage, spinach, and mushrooms as well as carrots, onions, lima beans, green beans, corn, and potatoes. The attention to quality doesn't stop with the vegetables. The pasta in the soups keep its texture and shape! The meats are actual pieces of roasted chicken or beef that have texture and flavor."
